CITY BALLET OF CLEVELAND/CLEVELAND CITY DANCE
Since 1965, Cleveland City Dance has inspired generations of dancers and remains a vibrant home where students of all ages discover joy, confidence, camaraderie, and the beauty of dance. From young children taking their first creative steps to adults dancing well into their eighties, students find a welcoming, nurturing community where confidence, friendships, and artistic growth flourish. In 2009, City Ballet of Cleveland was established as the pre-professional, 501(c)(3) nonprofit ballet company in residence at Cleveland City Dance. The company provides advanced training and meaningful performance opportunities for talented area dancers ages 10–21, helping young artists grow in technique, artistry, discipline, and self-expression. Since 2018, Cleveland City Dance students have participated in Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), one of the world’s most prestigious international dance competitions. Dancers have earned top 10 placements and scholarships, providing recognition and opportunities to further their artistic education. City Ballet of Cleveland has become an important cultural asset to Northeast Ohio, enriching the region’s artistic landscape through performances and community engagement, including its beloved production, The Uniquely Cleveland Nutcracker. Together, Cleveland City Dance and City Ballet of Cleveland share a commitment to exceptional arts education and the development of the whole dancer. Through high-quality instruction, performance opportunities, and a supportive community, dancers develop not only technical excellence, but also perseverance, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of dance.
BARD HIGH SCHOOL EARLY COLLEGE
Bard Dance Company is an ensemble based group that encourages students to cultivate original works that are inspired by their surroundings and express these discoveries in new and dynamic ways. Through technique, rehearsals, composition work, performance, and production experience; dance students are prepared to understand and practice the art of choreography and performance.
FAIRMOUNT CENTER FOR THE ARTS
Fairmount Center for the Arts is a non-profit community arts center in Novelty, Ohio that provides classes in performing and visual arts. The Fairmount Dance Company, a student company composed of the top Fairmount Center dance levels, gives students increased performance opportunities and provides exposure to varying movement styles.
CLEVELAND SCHOOL OF THE ARTS
The Cleveland School of the Arts Dance Company is an honors course focusing on performing available to Dance majors at the school through an audition process each academic year and is a College Credit Plus course through Tri-C. The company welcomes guest artists and represents our department at off-campus performances. Students have the opportunity to perform at festivals, with local music organizations, and more.
BECK CENTER FOR THE ARTS
Beck Center for the Arts is a non-profit, performing arts and arts education organization dedicated to inspiring and enriching the quality of life for Northeastern Ohioans. We combine professional theatrical productions with comprehensive curriculum-based arts education in Dance, Music, Theater, Visual Arts, and Creative Arts Therapies, serving over 150,000 individuals annually in Cuyahoga, Lorain, Lake, Medina, and Summit Counties.
ROOTED DANCE COLLECTIVE
Rooted Dance Collective (RDC), founded by Jennae M. McCully, was born in late 2024 in the dance classroom of Superior School for the Performing Arts in East Cleveland. Through community connection, artistic expression, and a commitment to performance excellence, Rooted creates meaningful opportunities for young people to grow as artists, celebrate their roots, and shape the future of dance throughout Greater Cleveland. We are excited and thankful for the opportunity to perform at Cleveland Dance Festival in our inaugural year!
ELEVE DANCE COMPANY
Founded in 2025 with a mission to foster technical excellence and artistic exploration in dance, Elevé Dance Co. is a youth dance company focused on training in modern, contemporary, and acro dance styles. Through diverse performance opportunities and exposure to the broader arts, we aim to cultivate a lifelong passion for dance.
NRITHYANJALI DANCE SCHOOL
Nrithyanjali Dance School, founded by Brinda Ramasubramanian, is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the timeless beauty of Indian classical dance. Rooted in tradition, the school provides a nurturing environment where students develop a strong foundation in technique, discipline, and cultural understanding. Through structured training, performances, and a shared love for the art form, Nrithyanjali strives to pass on this rich heritage to the next generation, keeping the tradition of Indian classical dance alive with passion and joy.
THE DANCE CENTRE CLE
Founded in 1989, The Dance Centre in Rocky River, Ohio’s mission was to create a space that emphasized high quality dance instruction while also encouraging giving back to the community, leadership skills, and wellness education. This performance ensemble, Core Creative, is built on the principles of teamwork, choreography-building, and improvisation. TDC’s legacy continues on with the current owner and director, Kayleigh Feldkircher, in addition to providing quality dance instruction.
